Lake County provides a recycling center, a demolition landfill, and a program for the disposal of hazardous waste.

The Solid Waste Department is available to work with small business as well as individuals to provide technical assistance.

The Lake County Board of Commissioners has adopted a Solid Waste Management Plan which is subject to annual revision.  copies are available at public libraries within the county, the Solid Waste Officer's office, and at the County Board office in Two Harbors.
