Solid Waste - Itasca County

The Itasca County Transfer Station is located 5 miles West of Grand Rapids, North on TH#62, approximately 3.6 miles.

Hours: Monday - Saturday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Closed Holidays

Outlying Canister Sites:

Summer Hours (April 15-September 14):
Thursday-Monday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm; Closed Tuesday & Wednesday
 
Winter Hours (September 15-April 14):
Friday, Saturday, Monday only 8:30 am - 4 pm
 
Spring Lake and Bray Lake:
Sundays through Deer Season 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Acceptable Wastes and Rates at all Sites:

Household Garbage - $2.00 per 33 gal. or equivalent

Properly prepared recyclable materials - no charge

Acceptable Wastes at the Itasca County Demolition Land Disposal Facility (Transfer Station Office, Bray Lake and Spring Lake):

Demolition - $7.00 per cubic yard (Concrete brick, bituminous concrete, untreated wood, masonry, glass, trees, rock and plastic, building parts ONLY)

Appliances & Scrap Metal - $4.00 per item or equivalent.

Tires - 15" & under - $2.00; 16" & over - $7.00
